Instructions for Checking the Cable

The cable is designed to connect the sheet to the grounding in an electrical outlet. It is important to ensure that the cable is working correctly. We offer you two methods to check the cable:

Checking the Cable with a Tester

Hold the cable as shown in Figure 1. Remove the cap from the tester. Touch one electrode to one end of the cable and the other electrode to the opposite end (see Figure 2). If the tester lights up, the cable is functioning properly.

Checking the Cable with a Multimeter

Hold the cable as shown in Figure 1. Take the multimeter and set the dial from 0 to 25K (see Figure 3).

Touch one probe of the multimeter to one end of the cable and the other probe to the opposite end (see Figure 4).

If the multimeter display shows a value other than zero, your cable is functioning correctly.

2. THE TESTER DOESN’T WORK 

Preparing the Tester:

  • Take the conductivity tester included in the set.
  • Remove the red cap from the tester. You will now see two electrodes.

Testing the Fabric's Conductivity:

  • Carefully place both electrodes on the fabric surface.
  • Important: Ensure that both electrodes are touching the fabric. One of the electrodes should not be hovering in the air or only partially touching the fabric, as this will break the contact, and the test will not work.
  • Run the electrodes across the fabric. If you see flashes of light on the red part of the electrode, this indicates that the fabric contains a conductive material.

Confirming the Conductive Material is Silver:

  • It's important to remember that the light indication on the tester may detect any metal, not just silver.
  • To confirm that the fabric contains silver, you need to perform a wash test.
  1. Wash Test:
  • It is known that regular metals rust when exposed to water and do not withstand washing. After washing, rust stains will appear on the fabric containing ordinary metal.
  • Wash the fabric according to the care instructions on the label.
  • If no rust appears on the fabric after washing, then the material contains silver, not ordinary metal.

This instruction will help users ensure that the strips in the fabric are made of real conductive threads and not a printed design, and that these threads contain actual silver, not another metal.

3. I DON’T KNOW HOW TO CONNECT THE CABLE

One round connector on one end of the cable should be connected to the special attachment located on the sheet. The other end with the plug should be inserted into the socket in the grounded outlet.

4. HOW TO UNDERSTAND IF THE SHEET IS GROUNDED

Run the tester over the surface of the fabric. If the tester lights up, the fabric is conductive. The round connector on one end of the cable should be connected to the special attachment located on the sheet. The other end with the plug should be inserted into the socket in the grounded outlet. Now your sheet is grounded.

5. WHAT TO DO WITH THE TESTER

The tester does not participate in grounding; it is ONLY needed to check the conductivity of the fabric and to verify the cable is working. Instructions for using the tester are described in point 2.

6. THE SIZES ARE TOO BIG

Since the SLD-WORLD sheet is made from exclusively natural components — organic cotton and silver, it will shrink by 3 to 5% after the first wash. Our team has taken this into account when designing the sizes.
Before the first wash, the sheet will be slightly larger than the standard size, but after washing, it will acquire the correct dimensions. For reference, we provide a size chart.

7. IDON’T FEEL ANY EFFECT

Grounding, which involves contact between your body and the Earth's surface, may produce noticeable effects at different speeds depending on the individual. Some people report positive effects, such as reduced pain or stress relief, after just one session. These quick results are often associated with the ability of grounding to balance the body's electrical energy.

For more significant and long-term effects, such as reducing inflammation, improving circulation, and decreasing muscle pain, more regular use may be necessary — perhaps several weeks. The body needs time to adjust and respond to deeper changes.

Most people start noticing consistent improvements within the first few months of regular grounding. However, for the best results, it's recommended to make grounding a regular part of your life. As with any wellness practice, the more you do it, the more long-term benefits you will gain.

In short, grounding can provide quick relief for some people, but for long-term improvements, it’s important to practice it regularly.

9. HOW TO STORE

To ensure the durability and quality of the sheets, it is important to consider storage conditions. Our sheets may be negatively affected by moisture and salt and
require special attention. If you live near the coast or travel frequently by sea or ocean, it is recommended to store the sheets in airtight bags to protect them from exposure to sea water and moisture.
